I write books that are an escape hatch from the serious stuff in the world. They’re magical stories full of fun, adventure, friendship and loyalty that lift you up.
And with the wonderful team at Common Deer Press, I also publish critically acclaimed and award winning children’s books in my role as Publisher/Owner.
I’ve always been passionate about books, libraries and writing. I made my first forays into our local public library before I reached school age and it was a sad day when I realized I’d read every book in the children’s section. By the age of eight, I was making my own little books although it took many more decades for me to finally get the seat of my pants into my chair to write the novels I wanted to write.
I got the travel bug early and spent decades travelling the world and living on three continents. This has given me the inspiration and unique mix of experiences to develop my imaginary world of Ashtarom.
Magic! Adventure! Fabulous, mythical animals and wicked witches! These were the story elements that enthralled me as a child and inspired me to create the magical, mystical world of Sericea.
